Komentaryo sa Mga Hukom 11:12: Tze'enah Ure'enah

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“Jephtah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites” [11:12]. Jephtah sent messengers to the king of Ammon. Why do you want to wage war against my land? The king of Ammon responded: Israel have taken away my land when they left Egypt. Therefore, give it back to me peacefully. Jephtah again sent messengers to the king of Ammon and told them to say. Israel has not taken your land. Israel avoided Edom and the king of Moab and did not touch their land. Afterwards, Israel came to Sihon the king of the land of the Amorites. Sihon also did not want to allow them into his land. Sihon gathered his people in the city of Jahaz and Israel defeated them and took it over.
